As the Welsh Labour Assembly candidate for Delyn, I have hit the ground running since September - canvassing, campaigning and getting out and about in communities and workplaces across the constituency.
Along with the dynamic Delyn Labour Team, I’ve knocked on doors in: Ffynnongroyw, Gronant, Gwespyr, Gwernaffield, Cilcain, Caerwys, Gwernymynydd, Holywell, Greenfield, New Brighton, Mynydd Isa, Bryn-y-Baal, Leeswood, Gwaenysgor, Nannerch, Whitford, Ysceifiog,Halkyn, Bagillt, Flint, and Mold. I can honestly say that whilst the welcome has been warm the weather has sadly been all too often very wet!
But this is only the beginning. Over the coming days, weeks and months I hope to meet and speak with as many people as possible. I am proud to standing for the Labour Party in Delyn because I am passionate about the people, communities and workplaces here. I will work hard for us as, both a candidate and an Assembly Member, to stand up for and serve our area – making devolution work more effectively in the interests of Delyn and North Wales.
It is clear that it is time to change how politics works for – to do things differently, to open up the opportunities for us to shape our community and country in order to make a real, lasting difference. We need to have a strong voice to do this. I know that devolution does work because I have a track record of results for those I currently represent and will be in a position to make a difference for Delyn from day one.
I am from here and for here. I will continue to work hard and be accessible as both a candidate and as Assembly Member – a committed and effective campaigner and a strong voice in the Assembly making it work for us.
